Can Polian Make Special Teams Special?

11 years ago Brian Polian was brought in as an assistant coach at Notre Dame by Charlie Weis. After three years splitting his time between defensive back and linebackers in addition to coordinating the special teams, his sole focus was the special teams and only the special teams in 2008 and 2009.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone thinks about Polian's coaching contributions when reflecting on his time in South Bend.
