It’s been a busy few weeks around the Notre Dame football program, as DeShone Kizer declared for the NFL Draft, Mike Sanford will take the head coaching job at Western Kentucky and tight ends/special teams coach Scott Booker will not return to the program. Mike Elko and Brian Polian are entering the program.

Early Wednesday morning, SI.com's Pete Thamel, reported there will be another change to the coaching staff.

Notre Dame associate head coach Mike Denbrock could potentially not be with the Notre Dame program in 2017, as he could take the offensive coordinator job at Cincinnati under Luke Fickell.

Denbrock arrived with Kelly in 2010 and it was his second coaching stop in South Bend, as he coached offensive line and tight ends from 2002-04.

The Albion (Mich.) native started off coaching tight ends at Notre dame, but then moved to receivers coach and then offensive coordinator in 2014. In 2015, Sanford joined the staff and Denbrock was promoted to associate head coach, but would have play-calling ability within the offense.

Denbrock has had coaching stops at Michigan State, Illinois State, Grand Valley State, Stanford, Washington, Indiana State and in the AFL with Buffalo.

Notre Dame’s players benefited greatly under Denbrock, as Ryan Harris, Jordan Black, Anthony Fasano, John Carlson, Kyle Rudolph, Tyler Eifert, Chris Brown and Will Fuller all went on to the NFL after working with him.
