Prior to the 2015 season, we found out that the motto for "Team 127" at Notre Dame was "Culture beats Scheme". I'm not personally big on having a team motto. "Culture beats Scheme" or "Row the Boat" might look great on a t-shirt, but I don't think it has much to do with winning football games.

Maybe that's because my mentor is a man who never once gave a pre-game speech before a game and he won plenty of games without doing so.
