It’s going to be an interesting game tonight, as two different styles of play will meet in Miami. Notre Dame is a team that ideally likes to get up and down the floor, while Miami is going to want to slow it down and play efficient basketball inside the arc.

Notre Dame enters the game as one of the top teams in the country shooting the basketball from behind the arc, while the Hurricanes choose to not to live and die by the three. The game could very easily be decided at the three-point line, as Notre Dame has tip-toed that line all season.

Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey did mention Miami would slow it down on offense and that’s something the Irish will need to adjust to. Saint Peter’s played slow on offense earlier in the year and Notre Dame really struggled on both ends of the floor in the 63-55 win.

This is another huge game for Brey’s squad, as a 4-0 start would just be enormous in terms of where the Irish want to be in March. Notre Dame is going to lose some games coming up, so each game they can steal in January will absolutely pay off down the line.
