Fridays here at Irish Sports Daily always mean ISD Intel, our weekly peek behind the scenes of Notre Dame Football and Irish recruiting efforts.

This week, we dive deeper to find out the complete meaning of the Trust The Process tweets that virtually every member of the 2017 class sent out on Monday night.

We have comments from a current UConn player and a parent of a player who was recruited by UConn on the Huskies’ former – and Notre Dame’s future – strength and conditioning coach, Matt Balis. Irish fans will want to hear what they had to say.

Then we turn to recruiting.

We have an update on a top target we had removed from our recruiting board, but are now putting him back on (pictured) and one on a player who was on the verge of being removed, but is now on our Visit List for next weekend.

We do have more on the two targets we removed last night and get ISD expert Jamie Uyeyama’s opinion on why he thinks it makes sense for Notre Dame to make the decisions it did.

Hear how Mike Elston's in-home visit with 2017 Oklahoma safety Evan Fields on Thursday night went and more thoughts on Arizona defensive end commit Jalen Harris and his new offer from the Irish.

We also take a look at several other top targets and where the Irish stand with them.

And we check in with Our Ref one final time for the season and get his thoughts on Clemson’s final two offensive plays in the National Championship Game and whether the officials got the call and the non-call correct.

Get all of that and more in this week’s ISD Intel.
