Coach: Allen Brings Versatility, Size To Secondary, Character To Team

Notre Dame landed a standout prospect in the form of Derrik Allen on Monday night, but that wasn’t the first thing Lassiter High School head coach Jep Irwin had to say about the 2018 Georgia defensive back.

“First of all, he’s a great person off the field,” Irwin said of Allen, who announced his pledge to the Irish on Twitter tonight.

“He’s very kind, very humble, very mild-mannered. He comes from a great family. They’re very focused on raising him up right.
