Malik Langham was encouraged to keep his options open and the 2018 Alabama defensive end is seeing that that was wise advice as his options grew when he landed a scholarship offer from Notre Dame on Monday night.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder had in-home visits with the Irish, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt on Monday night.

We're told the interest between Langham and Notre Dame should be considered "mutual" at this point. He's in the process of trying to find a time to get to South Bend and it looks like that could come in January.

Washington remains in the mix, but while that may be a little too far, we're told Notre Dame is definitely "doable."

A former basketball player, Langham's upside is tremendous. He's also a very mature young man, who takes care of business in the classroom and in the community, according to his coaching staff.

He certainly seems like a priority given Notre Dame DL coach Mike Elston visited him on his first day on the road and he seems like a potential fit for the Irish, so definitely somebody to keep an eye on moving forward.
