Notre Dame will host several underclassmen prospects this weekend and while many are still trying to finalize their plans, several have already confirmed their attendance.
Perhaps, the most important visitor is 2020 Kentucky tight end Michael Mayer, who will be making his third trip to South Bend within the past year. Mayer has an offer from the Irish and looks to be their top target at the position for the next cycle. The interest is mutual as Notre Dame was a school Mayer was hoping to be recruited by. The more familiar he can get with the Notre Dame campus and staff, the better for the Irish.
2020 Arizona wide receiver Tommy Christakos already has offers from the in-state schools Arizona and Arizona State along with Northern Arizona and Memphis.
2020 Michigan wide receiver Tommy Guajardo confirmed his planned attendance as well. He has an early offer from Northern Illinois and has heard from several other regional programs.
2021 California wide receiver Beaux Collins doesn't have an Irish offer yet, but they've shown plenty of interest and he does have several Power Five offers already. He comes from a St. John Bosco program that has a good relationship with Notre Dame's staff.
2019 Minnesota wide receiver Peter Udoibok comes from a high school program with even deeper Notre Dame ties. The Cretin-Derham Hall standout already has offers from Ivy League and lower-level programs. Seems like a potential preferred walk-on candidate.
2021 Georgia wide receiver Ali Abdul-Barr tells us he'll be in attendance. He's looking forward to catching Notre Dame's attention.
