Heard from a source that many around the NBA have been impressed with the "new" VJ Beachem. The 6-foot-8 forward has changed his shot and cleaned up some of the inconsistencies in his game in the last few months.

The source also said Beachem has broken out of his conservative shell and has played like a totally different player over the last few weeks. Whatever caused Beachem to be passive at times is no longer there and NBA teams have noticed.

Beachem was in Charlotte today before heading to Atlanta on Thursday for a workout. He will also be working out with the Chicago Bulls next Wednesday.

A sleeper team to watch...the New York Knicks.
