3rd Alabama QB Transfer Since the Season Started.
I know there was a thread on here the other day about the perception of Notre Dame's QBs utilizing the graduate transfer rule. In the case of Dayne Cris, Andrew Hendrix, Everett Golson and Malik Zaire, all three played out their scholarship at Notre Dame. They were in the program for the 4 years they signed up for (Golson's was obviously a little different in the middle), but they put the time and work into the 4-year commitment. All four could have possibly returned for a 5th year at Notre Dame, but chose to change the environment by going to a different school. That is not the same as what is happening in Tuscaloosa right now. Blake Barnett made headlines as he transferred mid-season to take courses at JUCO in California before committing to Arizona State earlier this week. Cooper Bateman announced his transfer from the Alabama on Sunday: http://www.si.com/college-football/2016/12/04/alabama-cooper-bateman-transfer-playoff-status?xid=socialflow_twitter_siAnd then on Wednesday, David Cornwell announced his transfer from the program. https://twitter.com/DavidCornwell5/status/806593903885488128That could leave true freshman and starting QB Jalen Hurts as the only scholarship QB on the roster. The Tide have 2017 four-star Tua Tagovailoa committed, but it's been pretty evident he has been looking around. But the biggest obstacle could be the Tide's playoff run. It sounds like Bateman, who has his degree, won't be around and all reports state it's unclear whether Cornwell will stick around for the Playoffs.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
