The Opening Regionals: Cleveland
Just a heads up, Jamie and I will be in Cleveland tomorrow. The main event will be 2018 five-star Notre Dame quarterback commit Phil Jurkovec as he will look to qualify for the Elite 11. It's also a loaded field with some of Notre Dame's top prospects. WR L'Christian Smith, OL Jackson Carman, DE Tyreke Smith, LB Brian Asamoah, LB Dallas Gant, and Notre Dame LB commit Bo Bauer will be working out from the 2018 class. In 2019, WR Mershawn Rice, OL Trevor Keegan, OL/DL Isaiah Gibson, DT Jowon Briggs (offer), DT Jacob Lacey (offer), DE Zach Harrison (offer), and 2019 CB Moses Douglass. I am pretty excited to see Harrison go against some of top offensive lineman to see where he is in his development. The athleticism is clearly there, but I look forward to hearing about here Jamie thinks about his hands and technique. Briggs and Lacey could end up being the future of the interior of the Notre Dame defensive line, so it will be interesting to see exactly how they stack up against each other. Other matchups of interest would be Carman vs Smith, Ohio State RB commit Jaelen Gill going up against Bauer, Asamoah, and Gant. Some other names we will be watching: 2018 DE Isaiah Mullens, 2018 LB Jesse Luketa, and 2018 ATH Dashon Bussell.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
