It’s the day Notre Dame fans get super fired up or cringe as the Fighting Irish have unveiled its 2019 alternate uniform.

The classic looks might lack some of the flash of previous alternate uniforms, it’s designed to pay tribute to the 1988 National Championship team.

Notre Dame stayed with the traditional colors and added mesh numbers for an 80’s feel. There is a “150 years” logo on the jersey to celebrate 150 years of college football along with black cleats with a silver bottom.

The Fighting Irish will rock the uniforms on November 23rd when Boston College comes to Notre Dame Stadium for the final home game of the season.

It’s not a huge change compared to previous throwback uniforms Notre Dame and other programs have worn recently.

In 2017, Notre Dame wore a Rockne Heritage uniform that has some details to add a touch of age, while keeping other details modern.
