2021 Bishop’s School (Calif.) quarterback Tyler Buchner continued his big season on Friday night as he led his Knights to a 60-14 win over La Jolla Country Day (Calif.).
The game was billed as two of the top quarterbacks in the area going against each other, but the Notre Dame commit showed he was supreme as he finished the night 26-of-31 for 300 yards and five touchdowns while also adding two rushing touchdowns.
Buchner showed off his skillset in numerous ways on Friday, but here are three plays that stood out to me.
1. You like the deep ball? Well, Buchner can throw it and throw it well.
2. Sometimes you need to improvise to get the ball where it needs to go and you have to think Buchner’s lacrosse background helped allow him to make this throw.
3. Yes, it’s not the top talent in the country, but this run is ridiculous.
Buchner will be in South Bend on Saturday night for Notre Dame’s primetime matchup against USC.
