Jayden Bellamy‍ was impressed by his first trip to Notre Dame this weekend and the 2022 New Jersey athlete would welcome a chance to return in the future.

“The visit went very good,” the St. John Vianney High School standout said.

“What I got to do was to take a photoshoot with the uniform on, which was super fun.”

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback/receiver has early offers from Rutgers, West Virginia and UMass.

He didn’t get much time to speak to the Notre Dame staff while in town, but would really like to build relationships with the coaches.

“i’m definitely going to keep it touch,” the talented sophomore said. “It was my first time visiting there and I thought it was very fun.”

Bellamy was particularly impressed with the game and the atmosphere surrounding it.

“I thought the atmosphere in the stadium was incredible,” he said. “There were so many people there and the student section was very loud.”

The Irish used a strong second half to run away from Boston College for a 40-7 victory.

“I think ND played good,” Bellamy said. “They started off a little slow, defense was clicking on all cylinders. They only gave up one big play and the offense got it going in the second half.”

Bellamy doesn’t have any other visits planned at the moment but will continue making trips as he goes through the process, including a potential trip back to South Bend.

“I would definitely love to go back on another visit.”
