Earlier this week, we here at ISD opened The Saloon, our new message board dedicated to just about everything except Notre Dame Football…and politics.

With the offseason here, it’s been a busy week in The Saloon.

We had plenty of solid book recommendations in this thread.

TV has been a popular topic with discussions on Rewatching The Sopranos, HBO’s The Outsider, the new HBO documentary McMillions and the return of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Of The Outsider, Patrickfitat40 said, “I'm glued to the tv when I'm watching but still not sure what I think.”

A thread on whether or not Adam Sandler is the nicest man in showbiz turned into why his latest movie – Uncut Gems – is great, but “not fun to watch.”

Have you ever wondered if you should vacation in the Bahamas or Jamaica? Irishinorlando got some answers, when he created a thread.
