Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Named to Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List
It's that time of the year.
Preseason watch lists.
Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is one of 42 student-athletes who made the 2020 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List. The trophy is named after Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott and is awarded to college football's Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year.
IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
The award is the only major college football award where the character of the nominee is considered and the last Notre Dame player to win the award was linebacker Manti Te'o in 2012.
Owusu-Koramoah, a redshirt junior, is one of 16 linebackers, 15 defensive backs and 11 defensive linemen to be nominated for the award.
The Virginia native started 13 games for the Irish last fall and recorded 80 tackles and led the defense with 13.5 tackles for loss. Owusu-Koramoah also added 5.5 sacks, three hurries, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
