Offers
Notre Dame and Pittsburgh

The Skinny
Notre Dame offered Hinish on November 19th and it was the first offer from the Pittsburgh native. The first offer is always meaningful for prospects, but this one meant the world to Hinish as his older brother has been a consistent force in the middle of the Notre Dame defensive line for the last four seasons. Hinish has been to Notre Dame countless times, so he knows the good, the bad and everything else, which is a significant advantage for the Irish as college football maneuvers through the pandemic.

It’s also worth noting that Hinish’s family would be completely on board with spending another 4-5 years in South Bend as Notre Dame has become a staple in the family.

Decision Timetable
If Hinish committed tomorrow it wouldn’t surprise anyone. If he waited to take visits, it wouldn’t surprise anyone either. Notre Dame was the offer he wanted, but as with most kids, Hinish probably wants to get out and about to see a few schools to have a little fun with the recruiting process whether it’s during the dead period or not.

Notre Dame is in the driver's seat heading into 2021.

Notable Quotes
Central Catholic Head Coach Terry Totten:

“You couldn’t live in that family without that work ethic. He’s got so much work ethic and weight room work ethic to propel him to success upon graduation.”

Donovan Hinish moments after getting the offer:
"It feels like a dream right now. I was so shakey because I was so excited. My adrenaline was pumping and it's just a dream come true.
