After landing an offer from the Irish last month, 2023 Georgia running back Justice Haynes has kept in regular contact with Notre Dame running backs coach Lance Taylor and recently spoke with head coach Brian Kelly.

Haynes’ father played in the NFL with Jerome Bettis and Haynes has an especially close relationship with the former Irish star.

“Everyone calls me Bussy, especially my close friends. It's starting to get around now, everybody calling me 'Little Bus.' That's what Jerome used to call me when him and my dad played and it's kind of stuck with me.

“It means a lot. Jerome was a great running back. I was at his Hall of Fame Enshrinement. He's like another dad to me and it means a lot.”

Pro Day Coming
Notre Dame will host its Pro Day on Wednesday and you can watch part of it on NBCSN at 11 a.m. ET. ISD first reported Jamir Jones will also participate in the workout as the former Notre Dame defensive end didn’t get much of a chance to impress scouts last year due to COVID.

Jamie Uyeyama broke everything down ahead of tomorrow’s Pro Day:

Elite 2022 CB Eyeing Two ND Visits
2022 Mississippi cornerback Khamauri Rogers’ father talks to ISD about why his son’s visit plans, including an unofficial and official visit to South Bend.

He also talks about the important role new Irish defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman has played during the process.

“Marcus Freeman is just doing a great job of recruiting him. And watching his body of work this past season with Cincinnati. He was always a guy that my son and I conversed about on the regular during the Fall.

“I like the in-your-face defense. He lets his defensive backs play football. He plays a lot of man-to-man coverage and that's a skillset that my son possesses.”

Notre Dame Offers 2022 RB
Notre Dame is sitting pretty with 2022 running backs as Nicholas Singleton, Gavin Sawchuk and Dallan Hayden are all expected to take official visits in June.

However, it doesn't mean Notre Dame is stopping the list there. 2022 Pike Road (Ala.) running back Quinshon Judkins picked up an offer from the Irish on Tuesday.

One source compared Judkins to former Alabama running back TJ Yeldon and said he’s an NFL-caliber prospect.

Padilla holds offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Pitt and Toledo.

Tommy Tremble Raising the Bar
Notre Dame tight end Tommy Tremble gets all the love in the world for his blocking, but he wants to show the NFL he can do much more than block.

Tremble expects to put on a show testing, but also in the passing game at Wednesday's Pro Day.

"I didn't get that many opportunities in the passing game, but I want to show them this Wednesday how dangerous I really can be.

"I came here as a receiving tight end and showed I can do both sides of each of those aspects. I'm really excited to really show them how dangerous I can be in the passing game."

Chris Tyree Makes Bold Statement
Notre Dame running back Chris Tyree isn't shying away from setting high expectations in 2021 as he made it clear he wants the ball in his hands more this season.

"I think we all understand that good things happen when the ball is in my hands. Just being able to expand that and getting more opportunities to give me the ball is the goal for right now."

But don't think Tyree is being selfish as the speedster also wants to be on the field with Kyren Williams more in 2021.
