It wasn’t a surprise, but the biggest news of the day was the announcement by former five-star recruit Jordan Johnson that he was transferring out of Notre Dame.

Irish fans were understandably excited about the potential Johnson brought to the receiving corps, but almost from the start, this one seemed destined to end this way.
