Tyler Jeffries‍ hadn’t heard a ton from Notre Dame before the Irish reached out to the 2023 Tennessee offensive lineman on September 1st, a sign he could be hearing more from them soon.

The Alcoa High School standout already has major offers from schools like Florida State, Miami, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Oregon.

“It feels good to know that there are schools that are interested in me and looking at me,” Jeffries told Irish Sports Daily.

“It's good, but it's an eye-opener to work harder and get better during the season and just work harder and push for more of those and more contacts. You basically work harder and be humble.”

College coaches like the attitude he brings to the field.

“How I finish through the plays, aggressive with my hands, how well I move my feet and how agile I am and just finishing my guy however many yards downfield,” he said.

Jeffries, who goes by Bubba, received information from Notre Dame and camp invites over the summer and knows a bit about the Irish.

“I really like how their offense is,” the 6-foot-5, 306-pounder said. “I already know how their offensive line is and the coach over there. It's kind of like Offensive Line U. A lot of people go to The League from there.”

He’s looking forward to connecting with the staff moving forward.

“I want to get in contact with the coaches and build a relationship with them,” he said.

Jeffries received invites to come to any of Notre Dame’s home games this Fall and said he would “probably” make it to one.

“See what the people are like and how they take care of their players with trainers and nutrition and stuff like that,” he said.

He has some other trips in mind as well.

“I'm trying to get down to Florida State sometime, Notre Dame, I'll definitely try to get there. I think I'm going to try to get back to Virginia Tech when they play Notre Dame. I have a few others, maybe Auburn.”
