Notre Dame Lands 2024 IF/P Charlie Vercruysse

2024 University (Ill.) IF/RHP Charlie Vercruysse has committed to Notre Dame and head coach Link Jarrett. 

The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder impressed over the summer and into the fall as he's one of the Midwest's hottest prospects. 

At the beginning of August, Vercruysse was one of the top players at the Central Illinois Open, which showcased over 60 players. 

Vercruysse's fastball sits between 83-86 mph and plays well with his developing curveball. He's also a great athlete, which will also allow him to play infield in college. Vercruysse is impressive at the plate and ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. 

The Illinois native is Notre Dame’s second 2024 commit as he’ll join RHP Calder Glassman, who is a Top 100 prospect.
