Report | Notre Dame to Hire Chansi Stuckey as WR Coach

January 12, 2022

According to a report from The Athletic’s Pete Sampson, Notre dame has found its next receivers coach in Baylor’s Chansi Stuckey.

A source also confirmed to Irish Sports Daily that Stuckey was the hire for Marcus Freeman following Wednesday’s trip to campus.

One source felt this was a great hire by Notre Dame and Marcus Freeman.

“He’s a man of faith and has a great football mind,” stated the source. “He’ll be a great addition to the Notre Dame staff on and off the field.”

The former Clemson star joined the Baylor staff in January of 2021. Stuckey worked under Dabo Swinney in 2019 and 2020. In 2019, Stuckey was a GA and in 2020 he moved to an offensive player development role.

As a player, Stuckey was All-ACC in 2006 (first-team) and finished his career with 141 receptions, 1,760 yards and seven touchdowns. The New York Jets drafted him in the seventh round of the 2007 draft. Stuckey also spent time with Cleveland and Arizona.
