- Notre Dame has win all six meetings since joining the ACC.
- Bonzie Colson’s 33 points on Saturday marked the 50th time an Irish player has reached at least 30 points in a game in the Mike Brey era.
- Colson currently leads the ACC in rebounding and if he finishes the season in the lead, he would be the shortest player to lead the league in rebounds since Grady Wallace (South Carolina) in 1957.
- Steve Vasturia, VJ Beachem and Colson have gone over 1,000 points scored for their career this season.

Notre Dame is back on a roll with back-to-back wins over Wake Forest and Florida State last week after losing four straight. Small ball has worked and Mike Brey’s squad could be set to peak at the right time of the year.
Boston College might be in last place in the ACC, but they are a team Notre Dame can’t take lightly. The Eagles have lost nine games in a row, but they have been more than competitive in most and they are a team that hasn’t thrown in the towel.
With that said, the earlier the Irish can get a lead, the better. Losing nine games in a row does mess with confidence and if Notre Dame can put the home team in a hole early, I would expect the Irish to cruise.
I expect Brey to try to step on the gas pedal early in hopes to get his Big Four (Farrell, Vasturia, Beachem and Colson) some rest in the second half and to reward his young bigs (John Mooney and Elijah Burns) with some playing time.
Now, if the game is close, that isn’t going to happen and the Big Four will be playing 30-plus minutes once again. Notre Dame does have a nice end to conference play with the significant breaks between games, but the fewer minutes the Big Four can play in games the Irish should easily win will pay off in March.
Notre Dame wins this one with ease, but don’t expect another dunk from Vasturia on Tuesday night.
