From The Bushes Team Notes, Key Recruiting Updates & Much More

As always, Fridays here at Irish Sports Daily are reserved for ISD Intel, our weekly peek behind the scenes of Notre Dame Football and Irish recruiting.

This week, we have another packed edition of Intel with several notes on the current Notre Dame team heading into camp and updates on many of the Irish’s top recruiting targets.

We have more on how the additions of defensive coordinator Mike Elko, wide receivers coach Del Alexander and strength coach Matt Balis could provide boosts for the Irish this year. Also, find out why guys like Greer Martini, Jerry Tillery, KJ Stepherson and Nick Watkins are sources of hope for Notre Dame heading into the season.

On the recruiting side of things, we have updates on key Notre Dame targets Shayne Simon, Cameron McGrone and Jayson Oweh, who could all make decisions relatively soon. We also have updates on top targets Chase Cota and Issak Togia along with a new name to monitor at linebacker in the Class of 2018.
