Flash is a buzz word when it comes to talking about football players. It can sometimes be code for someone that is inconsistent, but I like to use it to describe someone that is capable.

When a player flashes their ability by making a big play, it's a good thing. You want to see someone make plays all the time, but even seeing one or two big plays from an individual is enough to convince me a player can be more. That flash is indicative of their immediate ceiling.
