Jack Kiser‍ got his first look at a Notre Dame game day on Saturday and now, the 2019 Indiana linebacker wants to see more.

“It was really neat experience,” the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder said. “Being able to see the facilities and see the players do their walk and watch their game and be on the field for pregame, that was really neat. It was a great trip.

“The facilities, their auditorium and their meeting rooms are top-notch things. Their weight room is connected right with all of their offices, so that’s nice. You don’t have to really go anywhere. The locker room is really nice. With all of the upgrades to the stadium, everything is top-notch there.”

The Pioneer High School star was impressed with the Irish’s performance in their season-opening 49-16 win over Temple.

“I felt like Notre Dame played really well,” Kiser said. “It’s not like Temple is a bad team or anything. They won 10 games last year. I really thought they were able to play Notre Dame Football and get the job done.”

The Royal Center, Ind., native also enjoyed the atmosphere inside Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday.

“I was seated right below the fan section,” he said. “That was really neat to see how the fans and students were interacting with the game and some of the chants and the fight song at the end of the game. It was a great atmosphere.”

Kiser, who has early offers from Iowa, Purdue and Indiana among others, did have a chance to speak with Irish linebackers coach Clark Lea.

“With it being game day, they’re moving fast and don’t really have much time, but I did talk to Coach Lea a little bit,” he said. “I got to know him and we’re both looking forward to continuing to build a relationship together.

“I definitely need to get to know him better because we’re just starting this process. I definitely want to get back to campus to catch another game and meet him and talk to him some more. We just need to build our relationship.”

Kiser has plans for another unofficial visit elsewhere later this month.

“On the 23rd, I’m heading out to Iowa City for the Iowa-Penn State game,” he said.

But Notre Dame did a good job grabbing his attention this weekend.

“They have all of this tradition and their culture. It’s a unique place, it really is.”
