Brian Kelly Notebook: 12/16

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke after Thursday's practice as the Irish prepare to face LSU in the Citrus Bowl. Kelly opened talking about losing sophomore receiver Chase Claypool to an injury. 

 On wide receiver Chase Claypool:
“He got injured in practice. He fell on his shoulder in a 1-on-1 drill. He goes up for the ball and just lands on his shoulder. 

“He’ll need surgery to repair his AC. I think his surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.
