Notre Dame fans have been talking about it a lot, but I don’t think many nationally have taken much notice. The Irish have a chance to be great on defense in 2018. Mostly because they have some great players returning.

One of them, cornerback Julian Love, was going to be back no matter what. He still has at least one more year of eligibility before he can make the choice to turn pro. Three others could have easily decided to head to the NFL this offseason, but elected to stay.
