Peter Udoibok didn’t know what to expect at Notre Dame’s Elite Skills Camp last month and the 2019 Minnesota wide receiver felt he could have done better in some areas, but overall, it seems like he impressed the Irish coaching staff.

“It was pretty good,” the 6-foot-4, 200-pounder said of the event. “It was a smaller camp than I thought it would be, but it went well.

“I was a little tight. It wasn’t my best camp, but I felt like I still did pretty good.”

The Cretin-Derham Hall standout felt he shined most during the most competitive of drills.

“Definitely one-on-ones probably the best,” he said.

He didn’t get a ton of direct feedback from the Notre Dame coaches, but they did tell him they liked what they saw out of him.

“It felt good to hear that from a Power Five school, especially from Notre Dame, that they liked what they saw,” Udoibok said. “I’m pretty excited about that.”

Udoibok already has offers from schools like Air Force, Rice, Wyoming and Yale among others.

“It’s good,” he said of the offers. “I like the fact that I’m using football to pay for college and go to a school I wouldn’t necessarily get in academically from the start.”

He’s also receiving interest from schools like Michigan State, Minnesota, Eastern Michigan, Iowa, Northern Illinois and Northwestern, where he camped the day after Notre Dame.

Udoibok had a chance to walk around Notre Dame’s campus prior to the camp.

“We stayed like a block away from the whole campus, so I got to see the majority of what they have to offer campus-wise,” he explained. “Everything was nice. I liked it all.”

He has a clear idea of what he’s looking for in a school.

“Good academics, good football, a place to feel comfortable, coaches who have a good strong bond with their players. I’m going to be there for four years, so why not make it like my home?”
