Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke following Friday's practice. 

Thoughts on the first day: 
“They were mature in the way they handled their first practice. I told them I liked the way we finished our 11-on-11. We didn’t have guys on the ground and great competition. Liam Eichenberg is getting better with Daelin Hayes. 

“We’re looking for everyone to compete but we want to use our technique to get better each day.
