Besides win the game, the Irish really need to accomplish three things in Saturday’s game against Wake Forest:  gain some much needed confidence on offense, leave Wake without any significant injuries, and figure out how to get back to South Bend without a defense dead tired after playing 120 snaps against a team who likes to go fast.

I think ND passed with flying colors on all three, and that’s why this win was so impressive.
