It's never too early to look at Mock Drafts, but what about a 2020 NFL Mock Draft?

Well, WalterFootball.com has taken an early look at the 2020 NFL Draft class and there's a Notre Dame defensive lineman projected to go in the first round.

Khalid Kareem gets some well-deserved attention as Walter Football has him going No. 30th overall to the New England Patriots.

“The Patriots could lose Trey Flowers in free agency, and Adrian Clayborn is not a long-term addition.

Kareem was one of the tough defensive linemen who have led the Fighting Irish in 2018.”

Now, it's hard to put much stock in something over a year away, but it speaks to the potential of the 6-foot-4, 265-pounder, who turned down the NFL Draft following his junior season.

Kareem was officially credited for 43 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, five pass deflections and two forced fumbles in 2018.

The Michigan native could have been credited with one more sack, but what's more impressive is Kareem carried a 3.6 GPA last fall.

“He’s close to his degree and he wants to play as a graduate,” said his father Ken Kareem in December. “That’s important to all of us. He’s figuring it all out, but I believe he’ll be able to walk in May, but he’ll definitely finish in 2019.

“One of the reasons he went to Notre Dame was to get a Notre Dame degree. He maintained almost a 3.7 GPA during an undefeated season.”

Kareem will form one of the nation's top defensive end units with classmates Julian Okwara, Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji in 2019.
