Football recruiting has entered the dead period. It’s misleading name for a time where recruiting news still trickles out (like at The Opening Finals this weekend and with commitment announcements in July), but it’s really about a break in regards to visits and the coaches initiating contact with prospects.

This break is a bit of a recharge for a coaching staff as they prepare for fall camp, which for Notre Dame kicks off on August 4th.
