My Picks
After doing a lot of digging and spending way too much time glued to my phone here you go. Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa: I believe Notre Dame will land the four-star defensive end. Word on the street is Vanderbilt sent out at least one (if not two) offers today, while USC offered a defensive lineman. That could be good news for the Irish. I think the people really made the trip for the Amosa family. Distance doesn't play into this one and this is the kid that finally looks at the depth chart and pulls the trigger. Russ Yeast: I think the relationships and comfort of Louisville wins out in this one. Notre Dame likely waited for just a hair too long in offering the four-star prospect. Very tough to flip a kid in the last month, but I believe the Irish staff came hard and heavy on him. It wasn't a lack of effort, but it's just simply too hard to make up ground in two weeks. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: Heading into his visit to South Bend last week I would have said Michigan State had a big lead. However, I think Notre Dame showed the four-star prospect exactly what he was looking to see and most importantly made it feel like home. It's hard to turn down a good situation in Virginia, but picking a "better" and similar situation is what Owusu-Koramoah was looking for when he opened up his recruitment. I think that school will be Notre Dame. Kofi Wardlow: It's been a heck of a week for Wardlow, as he is still committed to Maryland headed into National Signing Day, but has taken official visits to Notre Dame and Virginia Tech the last two weekends. Word out of Blacksburg is the Hokies are out. Then comes the question....why is the three-star prospect looking around? Wardlow is the only one that can answer that, but when comparing Notre Dame to Maryland, the Irish are going to win in every category but one. Distance is the only reason I don't see Notre Dame landing Wardlow, but I also don't think that matters. I think Wardlow flips to Notre Dame tomorrow.

On Russ Yeast
Hearing positive things in the final hours regarding Notre Dame's pursuit of 2017 Indiana CB/WR Russ Yeast. I wasn't putting much stock into any of his seemingly pro-ND tweets, since everything before that was extremely pro-Louisville, but after checking in with some other people, I believe the Irish will likely have the momentum heading into his announcement.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
