Recruitment Rundown
Ehrensberger was part of a group of five European prospects who traveled to the States with PPI Recruits back last November. He immediately caught the attention of Mike Elston, who extended a scholarship offer a week later. A couple months later, Ehrensberger was committed to the Irish.

“When you’ve got a kid who is 6-7, 240 pounds who can bend the way he bends and is athletic the way he is, it’s really a no-brainer,. If you put a kid like that in one of these powerhouse high schools in America, he’s a high-4/5-star recruit with his size, length and athleticism. These kids are going to the Notre Dames and Alabamas of the world. It didn’t shock me that he got an offer from Notre Dame.”

Ehrensberger's tools are so intriguing. He's clearly put on good weight since he committed and has the frame and twitch as an athlete that project well at the college level.

The raw part of raw tools is there for a reason. Someone like Margus Hunt, an Estonian track athlete who started football in college at SMU, is an example of a player who was able to translate those tools into an NFL career. I see that same kind of potential with Ehrensberger and he already has a head start on Hunt.

He’s not someone I would expect to make an impact early in his career, but I believe he has the potential develop into a quality starter late in his career if he can put everything together.
