Notre Dame lost the race for 2022 Governor Mifflin (Pa.) running back Nicholas Singleton‍ this week - for now. If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t expect Notre Dame to give up on the four-star prospect.

Now, that’s not saying the Irish will land the coveted running back, but it would be wise for Lance Taylor and the Irish to keep checking in and recruiting him. 

Why? 

Multiple sources felt Singleton left South Bend ready to commit to Notre Dame.
