Senior Night is always emotional regardless of how teams prepare for it. The good news for Notre Dame is they play the last place team in the ACC. The bad news is that Boston College gave them all they could handle a few weeks ago on the road.

Purcell Pavilion is a far cry fro Chestnut Hills so the Irish should be more than fine on Wednesday night. The Irish will need to keep tabs on freshman point guard Ky Bowman, who went for 29 points, nine boards and three assists in the first meeting. Bowman is a tough matchup for Notre Dame, but it’s not likely he will hit five three-pointers again this time around.

Notre Dame should look to push the ball and be efficient on the offensive end of the floor with Boston College one of the worst defensive teams in the country. The saying goes “Defense wins championships and offense wins games.” Well, this is a game, and Notre Dame should do whatever it takes to get the win.

Speaking of championships, if the Irish win, Saturday will be a very entertaining day. Notre Dame is currently tied with Louisville for second-place in the ACC. The Cardinals play at Wake Forest on Wednesday, then the Irish travel to Louisville on Saturday. North Carolina leads the ACC by a game, but they will face Duke on Saturday evening. The winner of Notre Dame-Louisville would gain a share of the ACC title if North Carolina falls to Duke.

Back to Wednesday, Notre Dame gets an easy win on Senior Night with Beachem and Vasturia getting the standing ovation from the home crowd well before the final buzzer sounds.
