Notre Dame’s home opener was never in doubt and the Fighting Irish accomplished many goals on Saturday, including playing just about every player on the roster in the 56-3 win over Tennessee State. 

Yes, it’s a hard game to have solid takeaways as TSU isn’t only an FCS program, but a middle-of-the-road one at best. Yet, there were a couple positive developments in the win and it starts with the quarterback.
