Saturday’s win over Wake Forest on Saturday was a shining example of one absolute truth when it comes to college football.  If your quarterback plays well, you have a great chance to win. 

No, QB play isn’t the only factor in winning and losing, but it’s extremely hard to win when your signal caller doesn’t play well.  

I don’t say this to suggest that all of ND’s successes and failures should land at the feet of Sam Hartman, far from it.
