Mid-Season Report Card: Defense

It was only a coincidence that the ESPN broadcast team that called Notre Dame’s first game in October of last year was again calling Notre Dame’s first October game in 2017. Analyst Brock Huard mentioned the difference he saw in the defense now compared to what he saw in 2016 against Syracuse and how it was largely the same players.
