Notre Dame Explodes For 18 Runs On Tuesday Night

Notre Dame (12-16, 4-8) ended a three-game losing streak in a big way on Tuesday night against Chicago State.
The Irish exploded for four runs in the first inning in route to an 18-4 win at Frank Eck Stadium.
Shortstop Cole Daily led Notre Dame with three hits, three runs and one RBI on the night.
Second baseman Nick Podkul added one hit and three RBIs.
Cameron Brown pitched 4.1 innings giving up four earned runs and six strikeouts.
Notre Dame will return to action on Wednesday in an exhibition against the South Bend Cubs before hosting Clemson for a three-game series starting on Friday.
