Couple of targets officially eliminate Notre Dame
2020 CB Dontae Manning is a name fans have been interested in, but it's just not going to happen as the four-star prospect never showed interest in Notre Dame. He released a top five this morning of Arizona State, Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M. 2021 defensive end Cade Denhoff also released his top seven this morning. The four-star prospect is down to Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Virginia. Notre Dame loves him, but I don't believe there is a good shot for the Irish to land him as he wants to stay closer to home at the end of the day. I do think Denhoff likes Notre Dame quite a bit, but from talking to some, the distance got to him a little more as time went on and the Irish would likely be chasing the whole recruitment.

2020 CB Dontae Manning Includes ND in Top 10
2020 Raytown (Mo.) cornerback Dontae Manning is a former Oklahoma commit and dropped a top 10 on Tuesday morning of Arizona State, Georgia, Iowa State, LSU, Kansas State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M. Not sure Notre Dame is really in this one, but we'll see if he gets to campus.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
