Heat Check | 2021 Defense
A quick rundown of where Notre Dame stands with the 2021 prospects who have an offer from the Irish.
Quick Update | 2021 DE Najee Story
2021 Solon (Ohio) defensive end Najee Story wanted to get to back Notre Dame this weekend, but didn't know if it would be possible. The four-star prospect let me know this morning he'll be back in South Bend this weekend for an unofficial visit after taking a visit earlier this summer. Story holds offers from Alabama, Duke, Kent State, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.Sophomore Highlightshttps://www.hudl.com/video/3/7090594/5baa79ccff02670af40e3a1d
Safe Travels | Notre Dame Prospects Visiting Elsewhere
A look at where some of Notre Dame's top prospects will be visiting this weekend, including a pair of schools holding major events.
Quick Note | 2021 OH DE Najee Story
Touched base briefly with 2021 Solon (Ohio) defensive end Najee Story. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder is planning on being at Notre Dame next weekend for the USC game. It's not locked in yet, so I haven't added him to the visit list, but he's trying to work a few things out to get to South Bend. Story visited in June and seems to be certainly interested in Notre Dame at this point. I'd say Ohio State leads for obvious reasons, but I'm not sure Notre Dame is quite out of it yet and if they can get him on campus next Saturday, it would be big. Couple of notes on two 2021 DEs
Checked in with a couple of sources on 2021 defensive ends Cade Denhoff and Najee Story. Denhoff, a Florida native, is likely trending away from Notre Dame. One source I spoke with stated Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Florida State are the programs he's started to take seriously. The four-star prospect enjoyed his trip to Notre Dame in June, but from what I've gathered, South Bend might be a little too far for him at the end of the day. When it comes to Story, the Ohio native was on campus this summer and tells me he'll return to Notre Dame this fall at some point. He hasn't locked in a date just yet, but he was firm in the fact he was going to get back. It'll come as no shock as Ohio State will be the team to beat in this one. However, Mike Elston has shown he has the ability to pull an upset and make kids think long and hard about Notre Dame, so we'll see what happens here.
