Couple notes for this weekend
Notre Dame will host its final big official visit weekend of June this weekend. I'm told 2022 Texas defensive lineman Ernest Cooper IV and Maryland safety Kevin Winston will not be making the trip to South Bend this weekend. Cooper was always a long shot as Notre Dame had several guys ahead of him and then received commitments over the last few months. Not a huge surprise as I'm not sure I ever really expected him to make it this weekend. Winston is somewhat of a surprise as I think you'd like to have him on campus as insurance, but things must be trending well with others. Now, Notre Dame did have work to do there as Penn State and Maryland have done a great job, but Notre Dame seems to be trending well on safety right now. The other guy that didn't make it to South Bend was 2023 Florida linebacker Raylen Wilson. He has blown up in the last month and was going to camp for an offer at Notre Dame, but he did not make it to town today as he was in Tuscaloosa. And things turned out alright for the guy. After a great talk and workout with Nick Saban I am blessed to earn an offer from The University of Alabama🐘! #RollTide @CoachGolding @SWiltfong247 @adamgorney @ChadSimmons_ @harrison2121 @Linc_TrojansFB @C1N_South pic.twitter.com/rv9WIvk2oo— Raylen Wilson (@WilsonRaylen) June 21, 2021

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
