New 2020 Name To Monitor
2020 East Nashville Magnet (Tenn.) athlete Demick Starling has started to hear from Notre Dame. Now, I wouldn't get overly emotional either way as the staff is doing evaluations at this point. The 6-foot, 170-pounder holds offers from Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, East Tennessee State, Liberty, Miami (OH), Tennessee State, Toledo, Western Illinois, Western Michigan and William & Mary.Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and a few other Power Five programs have started to do their research on Starling as the process goes. A couple of interesting things here:- Starling didn't play football his sophomore year as he had to sit out due to a transfer. - Starling just started to run track for his HS this spring according to a source. - Ran a 48.3 in the 400m and won state.- Finished 2nd in the state with 10.7 in the 100m- Finished 3rd in the 200m with a 21.8- Depending who you talk to, Starling ran a 4.48 or a 4.5 in front of Hugh Freeze at Liberty's camp this summer. Notre Dame has recruited and evaluated several kids over the last few years out of the same program, including Jacob Phillips (LSU LB) and Jashon Watkins, who will be a freshman at Memphis this fall. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11007644/5babc4d302b1a90a5c2eecb9

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
