2022 RB Taking OV to Notre Dame this weekend
2022 Lasalle (Ohio) running back Gi'Bran Payne will take an official visit this weekend to Notre Dame. The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder signed with Indiana in December and then requested and was granted a release from his letter of intent in March. "As a person (and athlete) I thrive and prosper off of communication and genuine relationships," Payne said in a statement following his decision "With that said, I am looking to explore my options to make sure I am making the best decision for me and my future."Notre Dame will be an attractive program for Payne as he committed to Deland McCullough at Indiana. Payne did battle injuries as a junior and senior in high school, but had a strong sophomore campaign by rushing over 10 ypc. Quick note on Carnell Tate
I'm told Notre Dame will send the crew to Cincinnati to see La Salle host IMG Academy to see 2023 WR Carnell Tate (and every other IMG player) on Friday. I'd expect Tommy Rees, Del Alexander, Lance Taylor, Jeff Quinn and potentially Mike Elston to make that trip. It will also be a chance to Taylor and company to get a final evaluation in on 2022 La Salle running back Gi'Bran Payne, who is currently an Indiana commit. Notre Dame is keeping its options open on a second running back in the class, so if Payne can have a good showing against the top defense in America, the Irish could potentially turn the heat up. I'm not totally sold Payne will be the guy, but in-person evals are always important.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2
