The Latest | 2022 OL Billy Schrauth
2022 St. Mary's Springs (Wis.) offensive lineman Billy Schrauth tells me he'll be at the Notre Dame/Wisconsin game next weekend in Chicago. The four-star prospect didn't have much to say after that, but he'll at least get to see the Irish play one more time live. A source did tell me there is a chance Schrauth gets back to Notre Dame for a game as well, but we'll see if that happens as momentum is still with Wisconsin. I don't think either program feels great about this recruitment going on as long as it has, which is shocking to me at least. Notre Dame has the leader for a long time and there were a few times where we were prepping for a commitment. The fact he hasn't committed (at least publicly) is a little baffling, but it's not exactly a dramatic recruitment either. Rivals Top 250 for 2022 Updated
Rivals continues to struggle with quality evaluations. Notre Dame fine in this update, but while rankings are exact science by any means, I think I struggle with Rivals the most over the last few years. Notre Dame Offers and Targets14. S Xavier Nwankpa +2019. OL Zach Rice -131. LB Jaylen Sneed +14 - Notre Dame (2 spots away from five-star status)45. WR CJ Williams -17 - Notre Dame80. DL Anthony Lucas +6787. DL Hero Kanu -889. DE Cyrus Moss -195. DB Austin Ausberry _105104. DE Tyson Ford -14 - Notre Dame114. OL Ty Chan +75 - Notre Dame126. OL Billy Schrauth -10156. LB Joshua Burnham -17 - Notre Dame159. LB Niuafe Tuihalamaka -16 - Notre Dame161. WR Tobias Merriweather -7 - Notre Dame186. OL Joey Tanona -1 - Notre Dame203. OL Aamil Wagner -9 240. RB JD Price -5 - Notre DameThoughts- OSU RB commit Dallan Hayden dropped 60 spots to 237. Don't get it. - Not sure I see the love for 2022 North Carolina DE commit Beau Atkinson to move up 79 spots to 153. - I don't agree with OL Julian Armella being the No. 4 player in the country. Would have a long list of OL better now and with higher ceilings. Despite most of Notre Dame commits falling, the Irish did improve its class score.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
