Post-Zoom Update | 2022 RB Damari Alston
Checked in with Damari Alston today, the 2022 Georgia running back, who landed an offer from the Irish earlier in the week. The Woodward Academy star and his family jumped on a Zoom call with Notre Dame running backs coach Lance Taylor on Thursday evening. "Went well, man. Coach Taylor met the family and we talked ball." Alston also has offers schools like Alabama, Florida State, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Oregon and several others. "That put a smile on my face," the 5-foot-10, 200-pounder acknowledged. "To me, Notre Dame is a huge offer. It's not just football, it's very academic-based and has a great alumni base around the country. It's a huge offer for me." He'll look to continue building that relationship with Taylor and the rest of the staff moving forward. Here's my story with Alston from yesterday.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
