There are three days of recruiting left in this evaluation period and Notre Dame's coaches will be making the rounds to check on some high-priority targets on Wednesday. Marcus Freeman and Al Washington will be in the DMV today. 2023 DeMatha Catholic (Md.) defensive end Jason Moore is a stop the duo is expected to make. The four-star prospect visited Notre Dame in the fall and left extremely impressed with what he saw as did his mother and aunt. 2023 Archbishop Carroll (D.C.) athlete Nyckoles Harbor will also be a player Freeman and Washington will check on. If you missed it, Harbor did this over the weekend at 6'5/225. AND HERE WE GO 💫U.S #4️⃣ All Time - 2️⃣0️⃣.7️⃣9️⃣ pic.twitter.com/rZpa9BqRa6— Nyckoles Nehemiah Harbor ll 👽 (@Nyck1k) January 24, 2022
2023 Good Counsel (Md.) defensive end Dylan Gooden and 2024 Friendship Collegiate Academy (D.C.) Dylan Stewart will also be prospects we expect Freeman and Washington to check on. Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees is expected to be in SoCal today, but we'll likely have more on that later today. Tight ends coach John McNulty will be in the ATL area again on Wednesday. 2024 Colquitt County (Ga.) tight end Landen Thomas is a name we expect him to follow up on today. Receivers coach Chansi Stuckey will be in the Sunshine State to check on a couple of big-time receivers. We expected Stuckey to be at Gulliver Prep, the home of 2023 receiver Jalen Brown, who has already been to campus. Stuckey will also be at IMG Academy to check on 2023 receiver Carnell Tate and others. Tate was at Tennessee over the weekend for his second visit, but this one is still trending Ohio State or Notre Dame. We also believe Chad Bowden will be in Florida. with Stuckey to check on Brown and Christopher Columbus (Fla.) to check on 2023 running back commit Sedrick Irvin Jr., who will be on campus this weekend, before heading to Orlando to check on 2023 running back Cedric Baxter Jr. for the second week in a row. Bowden is also expected at Lakeland (Fla.), the home of 2023 receiver Tyler Williams, who the staff is high on. Offensive line coach Harry Hiestand is expected to make a stop at Don Bosco Prep (N.J.) to check on offensive lineman Chase Bisontis, who Notre Dame would love to get back on campus. We continue to believe the Irish are a major player here. Cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens is expected in Las Vegas to check on 2023 cornerback commit Justyn Rhett and he likely will evaluate some other 2023 and 2024 prospects in the area. Safeties coach Chris O'Leary will be back at Denton Guyer (Texas) to check on 2023 safety commit Peyton Bowen. Notre Dame being back in the school days after he took a visit to Oklahoma is important. As reported yesterday, Bowen is saying the right things to those in The Gug and around him, so we'll see if he's solid in the coming days or weeks. Special Teams coordinator Brian Mason will be making his way around Indianapolis while analyst Nick Lezynski will be checking on 2023 linebackers Phil Picciotti and Josiah Trotter.

Happy Friday. Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman will head to New Jersey on Friday to wrap up the week. He'll check on 2023 safety commit Adon Shuler and then head to Don Bosco Prep (N.J.), the home of 2023 offensive lineman Chase Bisontis. Shuler is solid in his commitment to Notre Dame, but maintaining a presence with those around him is always a positive. Bisontis camped at Notre Dame this summer and didn't make it back for a game. If he released a top group, Notre Dame would make the cut, but there is work for Harry Hiestand to do once he's officially hired. Offensive GA Trevor Mendelson is also expected to be on the visit to Don Bosco Prep.Chase Bisontis Offers: Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, UConn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, UMass, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, William & Mary and WisconsinAccording to a source, Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will head to Chicago to make the rounds at several high schools. The biggest stop of the day for Rees will be at Simeon (Ill.) to check on 2023 receiver Malik Elzy, who holds an offer from the Irish. The four-star prospect visited campus in the fall for game and will have the chance to be a regular on campus. Elzy took a visit to Illinois last weekend. Malik Elzy Offers: Malik Elzy Offers: Arkansas, Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and WisconsinPer a source, Irish tight ends coach John McNulty and safeties coach Chris O'Leary will be in New Jersey to end the week. McNulty is expected to join Freeman at Don Bosco Prep, but while also making a stop at Iowa Prep (N.Y.) to check on 2024 defensive back Ellis Robinson IV, who recently added an offer from Notre Dame. O'Leary will also be with Freeman to check on Shuler. We're not sure if O'Leary will be at Don Bosco Prep or if McNulty will be at Irvington, but it would make sense. Ellis Robinson IV Offers: Alabama, Arizona, Boston College, UConn, Florida State, Georgia, UMass, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Utah State and West Virginia Cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens will wrap his week up in Oklahoma to check on 2023 Booker T. Washington athlete Micah Tease. The four-star prospect has been to Notre Dame and the Irish are very much in this one. Tease is viewed as a cornerback for by the Irish staff, while others project him to end up at receiver. Christian Gray, Malik Muhammad and Tease are three kids likely in the mix for two spots at this point. Micah Tease Offers: Arkansas, Cal, Florida, Iowa State, Memphis, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Pitt, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, USC and WashingtonA source close to 2023 Notre Dame linebacker commit Drayk Bowen expects defensive analyst Nick Leznski to stop by Andrean (Ind.) to check on the top player in the state. Notre Dame has also started to evaluate 2024 Andrean receiver Patrick Clacks following his offer from Pitt. I'm not sure he'll end up being a high Power Five kid, but Notre Dame doing their due diligence on in-state prospects is important. A Fort Wayne source also expects Lezynski to stop by North Side (Ind.) again this week to check on 2024 athlete Brauntae Johnson. Johnson is one of top athletes in the state and will likely receive an offer sooner than later. He projects at receiver or safety. Brauntae Johnson Offers: Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas and PurdueAccording to a source, Brian Mason will head out on the road for the first time on Friday. He'll be checking on prospects in the Indianapolis area. 2023 Cathedral defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert, 2023 Roncalli offensive lineman Trevor Lauck and 2023 New Palestine offensive lineman Luke Burgess are names we expect Mason to check on. Kendrick Gilbert Offers: Boston College, Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (OH), Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Purdue, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin Trevor Lauck Offers: Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (OH), Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Toledo and West Virginia Luke Burgess Offers: Arizona State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon, Purdue, Toledo, Vanderbilt and West Virginia Chad Bowden is expected to end his week in Cincinnati checking on several underclassmen
