Quick note on Xavier Nwankpa
Just touched base with a source and Notre Dame is going all out on Friday. Brian Kelly, Marcus Freeman, Chris O'Leary, Mike Mickens, and John McNulty will be headed to Iowa to see 2022 Southeast Polk (Iowa) safety Xavier Nwankpa take on 2022 Notre Dame TE commit Eli Raridon. It should send a very clear message how much he's wanted as obviously, Notre Dame opens the season in Tallahassee on Sunday night. Notre Dame continues to be in a good spot here and it's on the staff to make him see the fit at Notre Dame. The five-star prospect is the rare case of fitting incredibly well at Notre Dame and Ohio State, so it will be an interesting to see how both programs along with Iowa and Texas A&M play their cards. And if you missed it, Nwankpa caught a hail mary to win the season opener on Friday. WOW. Jaxon Dailey hits Xavier Nwankpa on a 38-yard Hail Mary at the gun to win it. Dailey rolls out, uncorks a bomb, Nwankpa fights off defenders, hauls it in. Unreal play. Unreal finish. Final: #1 Southeast Polk 13, Dowling Catholic 7. #iahsfb pic.twitter.com/ZcokAqbXxE— Cody Goodwin (@codygoodwin) August 28, 2021

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.
